Some days it feels like the whole world is out to get you. Those are the days you have to learn to bounce back. Honestly, it might be the next day you actually get a chance to bounce back. You might need a break. Maybe work is stressing you out. Maybe you are dealing with someone there who doesn’t understand you and maybe you have a boss who is pushing you too hard. Maybe you are stressed out by today’s political atmosphere. G-d knows I am.
It’s okay to need a break. It’s okay to take a “mental health day.” And yes, by that I mean call off “sick” from work. Take a day to recharge and be able to go back to work the next day ready to conquer the world, ready to face that boss that is pushing you a bit too hard. Bounce back. Not everyone can handle all the pressure coming on the daily grind. We weren’t meant to. There’s a lot of things going on in today’s world we were never designed to withstand. There’s a lot of distractions that our ancestor’s never had to deal with. We have family, friends, coworkers, sure… but think about everything else we had that they never had. Take for instance all of the technology we have today. Now pile on all of the politics and how exposed to news we are and not just local news, but global news. Now, our ancestors never even knew about the other side of the world, much less what was going on there. They never had to deal with the stress of that. We have that stress because we are aware of it. Because we actually care and know about what is going on around us.
Maybe, that is why G-d didn’t want us messing with that tree of knowledge in the first place. Who knows? Anyway, off topic here. Sorry, I do that from time to time. Comes from being raised on Bible stories, LOL. Stop being surprised or embarrassed by your mental break downs, or being stressed out. Realize everyone needs a break, not just you. And make time for yourself, because that is how you bounce back.
